Read the clarification on break time from Carole Bunge.

Please be advised of the following break time clarification per Carole Bunge:

Clarification (R&P and the Nov. Tech. Minutes):

A clarifification for the break time allowed for judges' pay:

If you have a 30-minute break in between each session in a full day, but never a 45-minute break do you get paid for the whole day?  YES  

Is the break time of 30 minutes, 45 minute break accumulated for the entire day? NO

This is from the November Technical Minutes:

VI. Minimum break times per day of 30 and 45 minutes may be given in any order during the competition. Refer to the break time chart on page 45 in the Women’s Rules and Policies

JUDGING TIME                    BREAK TIME

Less than 3 hr.                     0 hr.

3-4 hr.                                  1 hr.

5-6 hr.                                  1 1/2 hr.

7-8 hr.                                  2 hr.

9-10 hr.                                2 1/2 hr.

Required break time: after 3½ - 4 hrs. minimum of 30 minutes after 7 hrs. minimum of 45 minutes 

Example:

Total judging time 10 hours; first break 1hr 20 min., then the other two breaks were 20 minutes each for total break of 2 hours:

The second break was not 30 minutes so the judges would get paid for the entire day.
